Details at a Glance
- German Language A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 (Medical language covering all medical terminologies). B2 & C1 has to done from Germany itself
- Can do B2-C1 combined 3 months course or C1 itself
- B2-C1 Medical certificate will be awarded
- Apply for Approbation (Permanent License for Unlimited Work) in Medical Council in Germany at the concerned state.
- Must be translated to German and notarized by Sworn Translator in Germany
- Documents Required for Approbation are: -
- Medical Certificate
- Consolidated Mark sheet (all the four years marks combined)
- Registration Certificate
- Internship certificate
- Conduct certificate from university
- Medical Transcript
- Police Clearance Certificate
- Apostle certificates which may include 5 documents
- Graduate Certificate

Approbation approval may take 10-12 Months. On this period immediately after completing the C1 medical language course, can start job hunt and once got the job can apply for the temporary license in the meantime.
- Apply to various hospitals’ HOD with converted CV and a covering letter
- After interview and once selected with job contract apply to Medical Council in Germany with the same documents for approbation but the application format is different (No Need to Submit documents if already submitted for approbation
- Temporary License will have Maximum 2 years validity
- Clear the approbation exam within this period
- FSP
- Date will be allotted from Medical Council in Germany once applied and it may take 4-6 months
- FSP exam cover the portions studied the same in C1 language
- For FSP the authority will check medical language in which how the interaction happens with the patient
- In some cases if there is two examiners , the one will act as a patient and has to study the case and do the presentation and also will check the proficiency in medical terms and some technical terms
- After the FSP, prepare for test for Approbation
- Subjects includes General Medicine and Surgery
- Third Subject may vary according to the professor. This may include Microbiology, Pharmacology, emergency medicine etc
- Exam is conducting for a whole day with two parts. First part is case presentation in which directly meet the patient in hospital and report to the concerned professors including the history of the patient and present examination result
- Second Part conduction the afternoon mainly through Viva
- Result will publish on the same day and certificate will give within three to four days.
- After getting Approbation, can start PG immediately Apply for Visa
After achieving the B2 from India directly apply to Medical Council in Germany in the concerned state and apply for 16D visa category. Once reach Germany, can prepare for exams along with doing job
- Degree certificate equalization in Germany, A mail will get from Medical Council in Germany once applied there and this process is not much compulsory
PG or Specialization
After Approbation immediately can join for PG and on that time a log book will given covering all activities to be noted there by 60 months(5 Years) and at the time of completion the log book must be signed by the Chief Doctor and submit to Medical Council in Germany and request for Final exam date. The final exam is a Viva process. There is no time period for PG completion
